Black Mountain Transmitter - Black Goat Of The Woods
Released 31 October 2009

An ode to the Lovecraftian lore of Shub Niggurath, Black Goat of the Woods was conceived as “the soundtrack from some lost low budget horror movie, rediscovered on an old and faded VHS cassette found mouldering in a deserted house in the depths of the woods”

Danny Boyle reveals plans for London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony

I’m quite excited by Danny Boyle’s vision for this year’s opening ceremony. With aspects in place such as Glastonbury Tor, maypoles, cricket, sheep, chickens and rainclouds, I’m looking forward to the inclusion of some other related themes

I can only hope that the tone of the ceremony will reflect The Wicker Man or other eerie folk traditons / references. Of course, the perfect music accompaniment would be anything from Ghost Box or the back catalogue of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. And with all those rolling hills and pastures, the appearance of The Wombles or Worzel Gummidge wouldn’t go amiss either
